What NailBold is

NailBold is an independent nail site. Every guide here exists to answer one question properly: what a shape, a color or a technique actually involves, what it costs, how long it lasts, and who it suits. No brand pays for a place in any list on this site, and there is no parent company behind it.

Who writes it

Emily Carter started NailBold in 2026 and writes every guide published here — more than 70 so far, covering nail shapes, nail art, polish colors, gel and dip techniques, and safe removal. She is not a licensed nail technician; she is a long-time nail-art enthusiast who researches each topic properly and says plainly where the limits of her knowledge are. Where a technique carries a real risk to the natural nail, the guide says so instead of glossing over it.

How these guides are made

  • Prices are taken from the published prices of the brands and salons named in the guide at the time of writing, not from industry averages.
  • Trends are checked against search-demand data such as Pinterest Trends and Google Trends, and against what brands are actually launching — not only what is circulating on social media.
  • Techniques follow the manufacturer instructions for the products named, and we flag the steps that damage nails when rushed.
  • Photographs: unless a caption says otherwise, images on this site are licensed stock photography used to illustrate a shape or a finish. We never present a stock photo as our own result or as a reader submission.
  • Updates: seasonal and trend guides are revisited as shades, prices and trends change, and corrections are made on the live page rather than quietly dropped.

What we do not do

We do not accept payment for placement in a list or a ranking, and we do not publish sponsored content dressed up as a guide. If affiliate links are ever added, they will be disclosed on the page itself and marked in the code, and they will never change which product a guide recommends.

Corrections

If something here is wrong — a price that has changed, a product that has been discontinued, a technique that did not work the way we described — tell us and the page gets fixed. Email [email protected] with the link to the page and what you found, and we will correct it or explain why we disagree.

Medical and safety note

Nothing on NailBold is medical advice. Nail products contain chemicals that some people react to, and persistent pain, discoloration, separation or infection around a nail is a matter for a doctor or a dermatologist, not a blog.
